Nominating and Ballot Committee – Final Report FY 2018 

Members: 

Betsaida Reyes (chair), LeAnn Meyer, and Chris Bohling 

The Nominating and Ballot committee conducted four ballots during FY 2017: 

1. Update on LFA documents (Oct. 2017) - LFA membership voted to adopt the revised “Criteria for  Academic Rank of Library Faculty” and the “Promotion and Tenure Procedures for the Faculty of  the University of Kansas Libraries” 

2. LFSA attitudes survey (Nov. 2017) – to gather information on the perceived value of library  governance  

3. Faculty evaluation plan (Jun. 2018) – LFA membership voted to adopt the revised “Faculty  Evaluation Plan”  

4. Regular ballot for LSA and LFA executive committees, LCPT, and SLPTR.  

The committee did not recommend any special charges, but does recommend that LFSA executive  committee consider reducing their size in order to make recruiting less problematic.
