Library Staff Assembly (LSA) Executive Committee Meeting Minutes:

-Approve minutes

-Tuition letter

-Annual report

Minutes Approval:

-Minutes from 04.24.19 were approved by the members

Tuition Assistance Program letter:

-There was a lot of discussion over the Tuition Assistance Program letter written by Emily for the staff (currently-98 staff members)

-Suggestions were provided by the members and the guest. The necessary changes were made on the spot

-The letter is for a request to reverse the policy about the tuition option for the courses like library science which are not offered by KU. It will be sent to Katie Varner (HR), Ola Faucher (HR), Staff senate president and the Family friendly policy group after Emily runs it by Dean Smith whose continuous support is well appreciated. Emily will also ask Dean Smith about any negative implications of the letter

-The letter will be signed as LSA committee members

Annual Report:

-Emily has started the Annual Report on behalf of LSA committee members and will send it to the members for review
