LSA Executive Meeting minutes 

Friday February 23, 2018

COMMITTEE UPDATES 

OD 

Currently Organizational Development is working with LSA on planning the Library Staff Development  day, March 21st. 

Governance lunch 

~24 people will meet to go over a brief overview of what governance entails and have lunch; Jules will  work on this 

Staff Development Day 

35 registrants so far 

Leah is still finalizing scheduling – starting 8:30 

8:45-9 Brief talk about what LSA has been doing this year, 15 min thanks for coming 9 international skills workshop from international programming 

10- concurrent sessions, Spencer info + processing activities VS. MLS Staff session -break 

11- concurrent sessions, Mike + Sharon on career trajectories VS. (something) or by itself (Marla volunteers to help Leah get the schedule finalized by end of day) 

12- lunch 

Yoga/massages?/ice cream social? 

Desk yoga – Leah is hoping to find a KU affiliate so we keep the costs down, or an economical option, if  we have to go with someone commercial 

1:30- intermediate mindfulness session by Sharon VS. Yoga (maybe) 

2:15- color collections from spencer, bookmark crafting

2:45- concurrent - Sheila's Genealogical session VS. (something) 

3:30- ice cream social back at Watson 

Innovation fund – The Libraries are now selling our own brand of coffee "All Nighter" - Leah got a bag of this coffee + an "I Heart libraries" mug as giveaways for Staff  Development Day
