LSA Executive Meeting minutes 

Friday December 1, 2017 

Present:

Leah Hallstrom, Emily Anne Beran, Marla Schleuder, Joe Orozco, Julie Woodrick 

MINUTES 

Minutes from last meeting approved by unanimous consent. 

STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAY 

Leah: We should talk about this at the next All Staff Meeting – announce the return of Staff Dev Day – she will talk to Tanay 

Spring Break, or if we felt we couldn’t get it ready in time, we could do it the week after finals in Spring Will plan to set up meeting with OD in 2 weeks/ Finals week (LSA Exec + Lars, Sharon, Mike + open invite  to bring others in from OD) 

At this meeting: decide on a date, thinking about what kinds of things we would like to propose to be  presented, talked about, speakers, programming, etc. 

 Emily Beran has already offered to present AEON for Spencer 

Registration needed for catering – how to make this easy, etc. 

Location – not the libraries? Costs? 

COMMITTEE REPORTS 

OD Liaison Report: 

Some discussion on the official responsibilities of LSA Liaison to OD 

Focus on Mentoring – kind of a spin-off of Staff Development 

Salaries and Benefits:  

Met at the beginning of November, checked on Open Enrollment, but no other updates 

SHAREPOINT MEETING OF THE SECRETARIES 

LSA Sharepoint is a thing now, all Governance Committee and Assembly Secretaries recently met with  Nate Chamberlin to see the Sharepoint site he'd set up for us.

We may want to talk about this more at the next LFSA meeting 

COMMUNICATIONS WORKING GROUP SURVEY UPDATE 

Survey results are back, will be sent out to Library Governance members soon
