      • Spring General Assembly April 22, 2025
        • Spent a lot of time on faculty evaluations
          • Space for Dean Smith to add comments now
        • Created space at General Assembly for people to air concerns
      • Faculty service snapshot survey via Qualtrics
        • Self-report roles and time spent on service in the last year
        • Keeping it open for at least a couple of weeks, no specific closure date yet
  • LFSA elections
    • LSA: We have two members who have volunteered to be members-at-large, one person for chair-elect, and we need LSA Secretary
    • N&B will start reaching out to folks next week
  • Talent Development Committee
    • Code
      • It needs to be added to the code by the Committee on the Code
    • Membership
      • We have one member, we need two more for it to exist
    • Bus tour to UMKC and Linda Hall Library
      • June 5th, 2025
      • We are working on determining options for folks who want to drive themselves
      • Linda Hall has been confirmed, UMKC still TBD
  • Staff service survey
    • Timing: most likely sometime this summer
    • Likely will look a lot like the faculty service survey
  • Replacing Qualtrics form on LSA site
    • There was a Qualtrics form on the LSA website for people to submit anonymous feedback but it was going to a defunct email, has been taken down
    • lfsa@ku.edu as shared email is a possibility
      • We would have to change the membership every year
    • Maybe we should direct people to the Ombuds office
      • LSA is not equipped to handle personnel issues
    • We do want to watch for patterns in equity issues etc.
  • Old business
    • Staff profiles on library website
      • Waiting for faculty profile template to be finished, model staff’s off those
      • Future CMS changes to happen soon, LFA waiting on these updates before working profiles
    • Dean check-ins w/ staff
      • Dean Smith has met with faculty and some staff, especially new hires, what is the plan to meet with the rest of staff?
        • Dean Smith has open office hours
  • New business
    • Student budget – not getting allocated what people need to staff their areas/departments
      • Work study is emphasized but it’s hard to always find work study candidates
