Notes:

  1. December Minutes approved.
  2. LFA & LSA presidents have been having discussions with leadership about making a statement on raises.
  3. Student Shadowing program review
    • Leadership agrees that this should count as paid work hours for students.
    • Initial reach-outs have been sent, the date(s) are still undecided.
  4. LSA meet & greets
    • Tentative: February 10th in the Kettle.
    • Tentative plan to include a guest speaker of sorts to talk about their work for these.
  5. Student Assistant position descriptions
    • PDs have been collected; Mike is going to do a full audit that includes KU student positions across KU to see if pay raises are possible.
    • Staff and Faculty can also review their position descriptions to see if those also need updating.
  6. TD updates
    • Next Share-Out scheduled for Feb 3rd.
    • $2K allocated for this year’s bus tour.
    • P-cards are highly preferred for using funds. Funds can be used for classes and events outside of KU, such as those at the Lawrence Art Center, chess tournaments, etc.
      • These should count as work hours.
    • Syd wants to add clear guidance on LSA site for creative uses for Talent Development funds. Written resources are needed to increase confidence in use.
  7. Website updates
    • The website is mostly updated, but the LSA Sharepoint/Intranet site could use an update as well.

Action Items:

  • LSA members are to review LSA Sharepoint/Intranet site and let Syd know which things need to be updated.
  • Rebecca/Syd: Put out request to Brooke to define acronyms on first-use for all-staff meetings so people know what they mean.
