Library Faculty and Staff Assembly (LFSA) Executive Board Meeting Notes
March 25, 2020
Meeting held via Zoom
Exec Committee members present:

Proposed agenda:
I. Approval of minutes of previous LFSA Exec meeting (02/17/2020) II. Report from Ad Hoc committee on Governance website and SharePoint site. III. Discussion of how LFSA will operate in the COVID-19 crisis
IV. Anything to/from LFSA Committee liaison reports
V. New business
Approval of minutes of previous LFSA Exec meeting (02/17/2020) Postponed for now, since the minutes have not yet been circulated.

Sara and Ann presented a summary of the report, including updates and recommendations. Next steps:
• Updating the CMS can happen now, but appointing a role of webmaster will need a change to the code and will need approval
o How does this affect the role of Secretary?
• Suggestion for LFSA Exec to some up with some language for the code change to present to Code Committee
• Review inventory and begin to contact former committee members to try to get missing documentations
o Ideally, materials could be turned in by the end of the spring semester. o Minutes and annual reports are the primary documents to gather o Several members found the inventory confusing – needs clarification ▪ Report, inventory to be reviewed by LFSA Exec, may request clarifications/edits prior to sending to General LFSA for feedback
Discussion of how LFSA will operate in the COVID-19 crisis
Need to schedule LFSA General Meeting via Zoom.
Betsaida is looking into how/when to schedule, possibly integrating into it with one of the already schedule KU Lib town halls.
Anything to/from LFSA Committee liaison reports

New business
General discussion of how Libraries/KU admin has responded to the crisis, especially in comparison to other similar institutions.
Discussion about perspectives of staff and faculty – working from home vs. coming to campus, including the security of some of the library buildings, work that is having to be postponed, etc.
Wrap up and action items
• All members to review the website report and inventory (linked above), respond to the Exec group with feedback by Friday.
• Reach out the Code Committee about creating a Webmaster position (Betsaida, Erin [liaison])
• Check with Dean to see if LFSA can be integrated into existing Town Hall (Betsaida)
