Sabbatical Leave and Post Tenure Review Committee Meeting Minutes

August 6, 2018

The first meeting of the Sabbatical Leave and Post Tenure Review Committee (SLPTR) for the new fiscal year was convened August 6, 2018 by Jill Becker, LFA liaison. Attending (in addition to Jill): Brian Rosenblum, Sara Morris, Elspeth Healey, and Karen Cook. Absent: Sheryl Williams.

Brian Rosenblum offered to continue as chair for the coming year. Karen Cook volunteered to be secretary.

Jill Becker discussed the meeting agenda, consisting of the following items, with the Committee:

A preliminary PTR informational meeting has been scheduled on August 28 at 3PM in 503A, Watson Library for those going through PTR this year.

Lars Leon, LFA Exec chair, has asked Mike Broadwell to see that HR keeps PTR information on the web page up to date.

The Committee’s special charge is to report to the LFA Executive Board by December 1, 2018 on the pros and cons of creating a best practices guide as a reference for faculty submitting a post-tenure review (PTR) file.
