LFA Exec - Minutes - January 10, 2022

Library Faculty Assembly Executive Meeting

Monday, January 10, 2022, 1 pm via Microsoft Teams

Attendees

  • LFA Executive Members: Angie Rathmel, Scott McEathron, Sara Morris, Erin Wolfe, and Lea Currie

 

  • Angie called the meeting to order at 1:02
  • Minutes from the December 13, 2021, meeting were approved after one correction.

  • Old Business

    • Recapped the LFA and LFSA General Meetings in December
      • There was discussion about the meeting structure and how it did and did not work.
      • The need to compensate everyone (Faculty/Staff) for doing additional work. Is there a potential to offer stipends to those who take on Governance duties? At one point the chair received $500 towards travel.
      • Discussed changing the code so that SLPTR and LCPT members can recuse themselves from reviewing files of those they have mentored. Exec committee members will review the code independently and come to the next meeting with suggestions.

  • New Business

  • Some discussion about Omicron and how the library might respond to this. The issue will be raised by Angie and Scott at their next meeting with Kevin.

  • Adjournment

  • The meeting adjourned at 1:52.
