LFA Exec - Minutes - December 13, 2021

Library Faculty Assembly Executive Meeting

Monday, December 13, 2021, 1 pm via Microsoft Teams

Attendees

  • LFA Executive Members: Angie Rathmel, Scott McEathron, Sara Morris, Erin Wolfe, and Lea Currie
  • Guests: Mary Raple

 

 

  • Angie called the meeting to order at 1:01
  • Minutes from the last meeting were approved.

  • Old Business

    • Meetings with Dean
      • Talk briefly about the HR data concerning hiring and resignations/retirements. Mike will be at the LFSA meeting on Thursday to answer questions.
      • Questions/discussion about the fall-return to campus. There is a plan to assess at 6 months.
      • Looking for areas where there can be collaboration between Admin and Governance. Topics included professional development and the pandemic.
      • Asked for an update on the Cabinet retreat. During their retreat they discussed evaluations, an article on returning to campus, hiring priorities, and strategic planning.
    • Dean Review Committee
      • Provost has made invitations to potential committee members. They will not meet until January.

  • New Business

  • LFA Agenda
    • Reviewed proposed agenda for LFSA and LFA meeting on 12/6.
      • Discussion about how to approach the HR data during the LFA meeting. Among those topics discussed included committee membership/service, mentoring, retention/retirements, and other related topics.

  • Adjournment
