LFA Exec - Minutes - September 13, 2021

Library Faculty Assembly Executive Meeting

Tuesday, September 13, 2021, 1 pm via Microsoft Teams

Attendees

  • LFA Executive Members: Angie Rathmel, Scott McEathron, Sara Morris, Erin Wolfe, Deborah Dandridge, and Lea Currie
  • Guests: Scott Cossel, Chris Bohling, Michelle Curtright, and Jamene Brooks Kieffer,

 

 

  • Angie called the meeting to order at 1:05
  • Minutes from the last meeting were approved without corrections/additions

  • Old Business

    • Committee Appointments/Liaisons
      • Shared the appointments for LFSA committees
      • Announcement to the larger library is forthcoming
    • Meeting with the Dean
      • LFA and LFSA met jointly with the dean this month
      • Talked about recognizing the Pandemic Essential Employees from the library
        • Working on establishing a list of these workers
        • They will be recognized at the Celebration of Excellence
        • There was discussion concerning classifying some jobs as “long term essential” so people know what would be expected of them

  • New Business

    • Teams Site
      • Angie has created a Teams Site for governance
    •  CMS Webpages
      • Michelle is currently updating both old and new CMS
      • All word documents are being converted to webpages to be accessible
      • They are currently at 80% of creating drafts of the website. Hope to be done by the end of the month for vetting by KU IT
    • Policy Library
      • Shared a list of KU governance pages that are out of date in the Policy Library These need to be updated and shared back with the Policy Library. Will work with the governance website team to convert and confirm with Mike Broadwell of his position as contact
    • Faculty Pro User Interface change
