  1. Approve minutes from the 05/28/2025 LFA Exec meeting
    1. Minutes were approved.
  • The LSA Chair was in attendance and made the following remarks:
    • Progress Achieved by the Talent Development Committee
    • Previous and upcoming summer library tours
    • Library share-out sessions
    • Recently instituted students’ appreciation week
    • The Rabbit Hole Museum to be considered for future library tours
    • The mode of transportation for the trips needs to be reconsidered.
  1. Request for topics for LFA chairs' meeting with Dean Carol Smith on Jun 24, 2025
  • LFA promotions to be discussed
  • P&T guidelines to be discussed
  • Topics for the next fiscal year to be discussed
  • Mentoring guidelines to be discussed
  • The union and supervision matter to be discussed.
  1. LFSA Exec Transition meeting notes from June 10, 2025
  • Transition meetings were held on June 10, and the following were discussed:
    • Introduction of new members
    • Teams Channel as a means of communication
    • LFSA meetings and schedules
  1. Results of FY 2025-26 election > Incoming LFA Exec officers

    • Secretary -Amanda Schlumpberger

  2. Service Audit survey results (Adrienne Sanders)
  • The service survey received 24 responses as of 6/23
  • The average number of hours spent on service is 175
  • The survey may also be broken down by KU service, university service, national, and international and international services as detailed below:
    • Members may list items to KU Libraries in 2024, and the total number of hours spent during the year.
    • Members may list service items to KU (excluding the libraries) in 2024, and the total number of hours spent during the year.
    • Members may list service items to external organizations (NOT KU) in 2024, and the total number of hours spent during the year.
  1. Committee reports
    1. LCPT (Adrienne Sanders)
  • The committee reviewed four PTTR files
  • LCPT must submit the Annual Report to LFA Chairs by the end of the week
    • SLPTR (Josh Bolick)
  • The timeline for sabbatical leave has been reviewed 
  • LCPT must submit the Annual Report to LFA Chairs by the end of the week
    • Ad hoc Committee for Review of P&T Guidelines (Brian Rosenblum)
  • The committee is reviewing four policies for anything that might be useful for KU Libraries.
  • The committee will report to the LFA general meeting in the Spring
