Meeting Minutes

November 6, 2023

Amber Ovsak, Undergraduate Engagement Librarian

(Paul Thomas is out with illness)

 

  1.  Approval of minutes from prior meeting.
  2. Addressing the issues with the current form for CRSA funds.  Owen made a new form and should now be sent to Jill as Chair. Point to establish regular communication with the webmaster each year.  Change the Qualtrics to ensure that forms are being sent to the right person.
  3. Email from Marianne Reed – Review of LRF guidelines is a charge for CRSA each year and must be done again, as the last time it was done was five years ago. It was suggested that we put this off until December/January, when we have more time to give it our full attention.
  4. Phil – Contacting the new faculty research development award recipients. Made a general inquiry using the email that was provided.  It is unsure who might manage this email (if anyone), the Faculty Affairs office?
  5. Info. Session for next week November 14. 
    1. Sharing how LRF Funds can be spent and the process for doing this.  This is what the fund is, these are examples of how you can use it, etc...
    2. GRF – Go through the differences and explain uses
    3. The plan is to share out the information and ask if there are any questions.  45 minutes of information and 15 for Q & A

Side Note - The submission deadline will be Monday, February 26, 2024.

Brian Rosenblum presentation on his project and application process December 6. 

Question of whether we want to meet again before the end of the calendar year.  The week of the 27th to finalize plans for December 6 presentation. Jill agreed to find a time for us to meet.
