Committee Name: Nominating and Ballot

Members (with terms): Jon Giullian (FY 2018-2020), Brian Rosenblum (FY 2018-2020), Sunita  Gandhi (FY 2019-2021) 

Standing Charges: 

3.3.3.1 The Nominating and Ballot Committee shall provide a slate of candidates for vice chairperson (chairperson-elect) and secretary of the Library Faculty and Professionals Assembly;  and members of elective standing committees, in sufficient time for elections to take place no  later than May. The Nominating and Ballot Committee shall also assemble all Library Faculty and  Professionals Assembly ballots, and tabulate and report the results to the Executive Committee.  

3.3.3.2 The Nominating and Ballot Committee shall be appointed by the Executive Committee  and be composed of three members. Committee members shall serve two-year overlapping  terms. The committee members shall select a presiding officer and a recording secretary. 

Standing Charges Progress/Accomplishment Summary: 

During FY 2019-2020, the NBC distributed three ballots 

1. LFA Ballot 2020: Post-tenure Review, Changes to Criteria, Procedures, and Form. This  ballot was disbributd via Qualtrics and took place May 13-20, 2020. The proposed  changes were approve by majority vote. 

2. LFA General Election Ballot 2020. This ballot was distributed via Qualtrics and took place  June 2-9 using. New LFA officers were elected for their respective terms as indicated  below.

• Secretary (1-year term): Karna Younger 

• Librarian Representative(1-year term): Scott MacEathron 

• Associate Librarian Representative (1-year term): Elspeth Healey

3. LSA General Election Ballot 2020. This ballot was distributed via Qualtrics and took place  June 2-9 using. New LSA officers were elected for their respective terms as indicated  below.
