LSA Exec - Minutes - March 9, 2018

LSA Executive Meeting minutes 

Friday March 9, 2018 

Present:

Leah Hallstrom, Emily Anne Beran, Marla Schleuder, Chris Bohling, Julie Woodrick 

Previous Minutes 

minutes approved by unanimous consent 

Staff Development Day 

Lars bought a few more books as prizes for Staff Dev day, including Wonder, the current Read-across Lawrence book 

Governance Lunch 

Nearly everyone we invited attended 

We feel it was a success 

Staff Development Day Continued 

Leah reminds everyone she can't actually be there (but she poured a great deal of effort into planning  and organizing the event) 

Coloring/ bookmark supplies need to get to that session – Jules will take care of it Leah, Marla, Emily will go to Union Monday to view suitable rooms 

Emily will bring 2 laptops from Spencer for the sessions. Marla will check one out from Circulation. Marla  and Emily will babysit these during/ between sessions. 

we will verify lunch options on check-in; print nametags for everyone 

OD will also be there to help (Lars, Mike, Sharon) 

Ice cream social – will be at Watson 

Someone will need to buy gallon buckets of vanilla, strawberry, chocolate ice cream + fixings (store in  admin, staff, Spencer freezers). Will be refunded. Thinking of asking OD to help set everything up. Jules  will buy. Sharon Riley will help set up. 

Print out schedule for everyone 

Ask presenters for their presentations so we will have copies in email/ on laptops Make sure tables and chairs are set up properly for presentation spaces 

Leah will still get catering in
