Liaison reports—
∙ Nominating & ballot:
o Elections are running smoothly
o Needing a staff email reminder to vote (Leah will do so)
∙ Staff Senate meeting:
o Staff fellows encouraged upper-level administrators to look into staff engagement and work contentment
o Discussion of a Board of Regents survey on morale for faculty and staff o Discussion of the tuition assistance program to include dependents
▪ A survey will be sent out and we should encourage participation

Salaries & Benefits special charge—
∙ There was discussion of the special charge to Salaries & Benefits to look at gender equity ∙ It was suggested that we assign one charge to look at methodologies and one charge to implement something for the upcoming year and continue on as needed
∙ Suggested charges:
1. Salaries and Benefits will determine the methodologies, criteria, and other factors to conduct a study of KU Libraries faculty and staff salaries to identify inequities. 2. Using recommended methodologies, criteria, and other factors, conduct a study of KU Libraries faculty and staff salaries to identify inequities. The committee's final report should contain recommended action items for LFSA executive and the administration to be more transparent and to resolve any found inequities.
