Library Faculty Assembly Executive Meeting
Monday, December 13, 2021, 1 pm via Microsoft Teams
Attendees
- LFA Executive Members: Angie Rathmel, Scott McEathron, Sara Morris, Erin Wolfe, and Lea Currie
- Guests: Mary Raple
- Angie called the meeting to order at 1:01
- Minutes from the last meeting were approved.
Old Business
- Meetings with Dean
- Talk briefly about the HR data concerning hiring and resignations/retirements. Mike will be at the LFSA meeting on Thursday to answer questions.
- Questions/discussion about the fall-return to campus. There is a plan to assess at 6 months.
- Looking for areas where there can be collaboration between Admin and Governance. Topics included professional development and the pandemic.
- Asked for an update on the Cabinet retreat. During their retreat they discussed evaluations, an article on returning to campus, hiring priorities, and strategic planning.
- Dean Review Committee
- Provost has made invitations to potential committee members. They will not meet until January.
- Meetings with Dean
New Business
- LFA Agenda
- Reviewed proposed agenda for LFSA and LFA meeting on 12/6.
- Discussion about how to approach the HR data during the LFA meeting. Among those topics discussed included committee membership/service, mentoring, retention/retirements, and other related topics.
- Reviewed proposed agenda for LFSA and LFA meeting on 12/6.
