Special Charges: While CRSA had no special charges this year, we noted that last year’s committee had

$2500 in un-used LRF funds and only one application for GRF. We made a concerted effort to advertise the funds often this year, giving frequent updates on amounts remaining, and together with the Organizational Development unit, sponsored five Research Sharing forums. At each of the forums we discussed how CRSA could help faculty with their research needs. We re-iterated how we could provide funding for: conference registration to present research, poster printing, duplication, scanning, transcription services, and any other costs related to presenting and disseminating scholarly research.

Faculty and UPS that presented at the Library Research Sharing forums included: Josh Bolick, Scott Hanrath, Lars Leon, Karen Cook, Tami Albin, Betsaida Reyes, Fran Devlin, Jon Giullian, Sara Morris, Rhonda Houser, Whitney Baker, Brian Moss, Greta Valentine, Rebecca Orozco

OD also had a session on IRB approval with Jocelyn Isley (IRB Coordinator) for those doing research with human subjects.

Special Charges Progress Summary: We felt the committee was successful in awarding the full amounts of both funds prior to the end of the fiscal year. We felt this charge went hand-in-hand with colleagues getting to learn more about one another’s research, which will hopefully also lead to more future collaborations.

Recommendations: None at this time

Potential charges for future Committees: No recommendations at this time
